Colour Clash

Match by colour or by number, empty your hand first, and make everyone else draw.

Up to 8 playersAI opponentsRules enforced by the table

The shedding game everyone already knows how to play, so nobody needs a rules explanation before the first hand. Four colours, a handful of cards that ruin someone's turn, and a table that keeps track of whose turn it actually is.

What you're trying to do

Be first to get rid of every card in your hand. Cards are four colours — Crimson, Amber, Jade and Cobalt — numbered 0 to 9, plus a handful that do something.

How it ends

The first player to empty their hand wins.

Your turn, in order

  1. Play a card matching the top of the discard pile by colour or by symbol.
  2. A wild can be played on anything, and you declare the colour that follows.
  3. Nothing matches? Draw a card. If it can be played you may play it; otherwise the turn moves on.

Cards worth knowing

BlockThe next player loses their turn.
ReboundReverses the direction of play. With only two players it simply skips your opponent.
Draw +2The next player draws two cards and loses their turn.
PrismPlay it on anything and declare the colour that follows.
Storm +4Play it on anything, declare the colour, and the next player draws four cards and loses their turn.
